Back in the 1960s Civil Defense and preparedness for nuclear catastrophe was all the rage. The US government began preparing for such a calamity by producing millions upon millions of crackers and other types of non-perishable, vacuum-sealed food.

Comes vacuum sealed in a 9.5" x 9.5" x 14" steel container weighing 18 pounds. Most of these tins were sealed in the early to mid-1960s and have not been opened since.
